Agart is pleased to present 'Essence of Being', a group exhibition showcasing all female roster of contemporary artists, on view from 24 March to 13 April 2025 at Maison Pan, Hobhouse Court, Whitcomb Street, London WC2H 7HA
In this group show we invite you to explore the diverse experiences of life as seen through the eyes of three female artists who have endured significant physical and mental challenges. The collection comprises a tapestry of stories that resonate on both personal and universal levels. Whether woven into dream-like-scapes, or surrealist tales, these works wish to engage the viewer on a deeply emotive level and to confront their own joys, sorrows, and vulnerabilities.
Each artist featured in this exhibition has transformed their experiences of life into profound artistic expressions, revealing how the darkest moments can give rise to light and hope, and even joy and humour. Through their unique perspectives and creative explorations, they challenge the stigma surrounding mental and physical health, offering new reflections on resilience and the human spirit.
After all, the key function of art in society is the transformative power to move the viewer, to connect, and maybe even to heal and inspire.
